On Thursday, September 24, Oak parent volunteers will host a “pop-up shop” to help ensure children have the essentials they need for a successful school year. The True Value Club serves hundreds of children from hardworking families, many of whom face significant financial challenges. Nearly 80% of the students served come from low-income households, and many arrive at the Club without basic necessities like properly fitting clothes, school supplies, and hygiene items. Together, we can help give these children the confidence and resources they need to learn, grow, and thrive throughout the school year.

As Oak’s 5th Grade Service Project, this is an opportunity for our school community to come together to support children and families in Chicago while modeling the importance of service and generosity for our students. Whether you’re able to donate a few items, volunteer your time, or simply help spread the word, every contribution will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for your generosity and support!
